Only one more month to go!
On September 12, 2021, exactly one month from today, I will
join the #RoadtoRome2021 team in Rome and start walking southwards along the #ViaFrancigenadelSud from Rome towards Santa Maria di Leuca, at the very end of the heel of Italy!
Time to start planning.... and training! As soon as our current heatwave is over (it's supposed to reach 40°C here today!) I will start hiking longer and longer distances to get my body accustomed to walking again.
In the meantime, I am researching some fun anecdotes and trivia to publish on the pages of this blog along the way. Expect to encounter ancient Romans, mythological beasts and mysterious palindromes along the Road (to) from Rome in September/October!
