E pure lo sai che é il tuo destino
Camminare e camminare
Piano piano piano
- from a poem on Clelia Marchi's diary-sheet, in the Diary Museum in Pieve Santo Stefano
After a moment of silent prayer in the hermitage chapel and a breakfast of caffè latte and homemade cake, we left our monastic cell at the Eremo di Cerbaiolo. Padre Claudio gave us directions and we headed off on our way uphill to Passo di Viamaggio and from there to Monte Verde, 1150 metres.
The only sounds we heard all day were the wind in the leaves, the song of the birds and the croaking of frogs. The only other people we saw were a few mountain-bikers and a man out walking his dog. We stopped for a break at Pian delle Capanne, and took shelter under the porch of the mountain refuge when it rained for a few minutes. We crossed the Gothic Line, and passed a three-hundred year old oak tree. Then we came to "Borghetto Pellegrino", a group of three B&B's offering special rates for pilgrims. We are spending the rest of the afternoon and evening at Al Ritmo dei Passi, lazing about with the owner Norma and her little dog Nemo in a peaceful green spot.
Tomorrow, back to civilisation in San Sepolcro!

Cosa si vede in quel punto della linea gotica? Hai una foto?
ReplyDeleteIn realtà non ho visto niente, ma ho letto dei cartelli che indicavano che c'era la linea gotica
